Alder slope B&B is located on Early Dawn Quarter Horse Ranch. Situated on Alder Slope just below the timber, we are 700 feet above the valley floor, giving us arguably the best view in a county where all views are spectacular. From our 1200 sq ft deck you have an unobstructed, commanding view. To the east the Valley floor and Zumwalt Prairie are framed by the Seven Devils Mountains. South and West are Mt. Joseph, Mt Howard, Ruby Peak and the other Wallowas. To the north is the Leap Country.
We have no mosquitoes at this elevation and our climate is a few degrees cooler than the valley floor in summer and a few degrees warmer in the winter.
There is less incidence of wind on our part of the slope than in the rest of the valley. We are a short scenic drive on untraveled roads to Joseph, Enterprise or beautiful Wallowa Lake. Accommodations are available for Horses and we will assist you with kenneling for your pets.
